First Catch| Welcome to First Catch, an organization dedicated and focused on providing opportunities for young anglers new to the sport of fishing! The members of First Catch would like to thank all the volunteers, kids and their families who attended our 2nd Annual Kids Ice Fishing Event. We had 247 kids who took part, most of them had never ice fished before. It was an awesome day with the temps in the mid 30's, no wind, and sunshine. With the kids, their parents and mentors, and our volunteers we had over 600 people on Lake Alvin and the smiles were endless. This was the largest on ice kids ice fishing clinic held anywhere...ever. We are presently putting plans together for our kids event in Feb. 2009. We will be releasing the date of the event in the near future and we ask that you set that date aside and come out and help us provide these kids with an unforgettable event. Lets break last years record and set a new one...we are shooting for 350 kids. I know...thats alot of kids but we beleive we can do it with your help. Check out our pictures from this years event on the photos page. We will be announcing the date of this years fundraiser and game feed. Dont miss this.
